Make your prospecting more effective
Rather than hitting all of your prospects at once, it’s better to target your prospecting to one industry on your list at a time. This is because the efficiency and effectiveness of your prospecting is magnified when you focus your efforts. Contacting the same type of people, who will have similar (if not identical) requirements and objections means that you will more quickly get to understand the needs of people in that industry, how your product or service can help people in that industry, and what objections they will have. You will also be able to make reference to previous prospects in the same industry you have spoken to, who will very likely know each. In today’s world, people still like to do business with people - and the best way to connect is via face to face conversations, or over the phone. Email is probably the least effective mechanism to build trust and relationships. Therefore it is important for you to define the geographic region that you want to service. This does not mean your potential clients should be limited to those you can visit, just that the best prospects may be within visiting distance.
